THE FAMILY | Santa Monica family is seeking a genuine and loving nanny to join their creative, structured and “chaotic” household. They already have a full-time nanny but require a second one to help navigate the afternoons and evening for their children. The nanny will most likely be with 1 or 2 children at a time but must build genuine connections and relationships with all three. The nanny is required to help with all duties that correlate to the day-to-day care of the children.

The parents are looking for someone to partner with them and who can work alongside their current nanny.

They have a friendly mini-eskimo dog.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | Kind, thoughtful, well-mannered and creative individual who loves helping families with the afternoon care of their children. Experience with school age children. Genuinely loves interacting and helping a family with the afternoon care of their multiple children. Takes initiative and is proactive with the care of the children and any duties or tasks that correspond with their care.

Has the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Comfortable caring for a singleton or multiple children at one time.

Strong command of the English language: both written and verbal. Effective communicator with all members of the household including other staff members.

THE JOB DETAILS | Provide exceptional daily afternoon care to the children and support to this family. Connect and bond with all three children. Follow schedules & routine relatively strictly. Partner with the parents and other nanny. Duties include ALL child-related tasks including but not limited to pick-ups/drop offs, meal preparations, homework help.

In addition to caring for the children, the nanny is required to support with the general upkeep of the communal areas, unloading/loading the dishwasher, and encouraging the children to clean up after themselves.

This position involves driving so the nanny must have a clear driving record and the use of their own reliable and safe vehicle.

There are three children in the home - G11, G8, B5. All attend school daily and have extra curricular activities.

THE REQUIREMENTS | Vaccinations: COVID, flu shot. Previous experience working in a similar role. Previous nanny or childcare experience. Passionate about helping families. Inspired and takes pride in their work. Non-smoker. Willing to commit long-term - a minimum of one year to begin with. Dog friendly.

Workdays are Monday to Friday. Hours are 2 PM to 8 PM, may vary between 2 PM to 9 PM.

THE QUALIFICATIONS | At least ten years of nanny or relatable childcare experience. CPR/First Aid Certification in Pediatrics and Adults. Stellar references.

THE SALARY | $35 to $40 per hour. Guaranteed weekly pay (30 hours). Paid through payroll.

THE START DATE | Nov 2022
