We are currently seeking a Junior SCADA Engineer for our corporate office in Houston.

Job Description
The purpose of the Junior SCADA Engineer position is to work with clients to support the design, development and administration of the client’s SCADA system. Specifically, the position will work with SCADA clients to understand their requirements, make design recommendations, develop screens and test the product. Additionally, the position may be required to provide SCADA system maintenance and/or help desk support.

The position is based in GlobaLogix’s Houston office with some remote work expected.

Travel is approximated at 10%

Responsibilities
Design and development of SCADA systems – new system development, existing system expansions, upgrades and integrations, etc.

Troubleshooting and maintenance support to clients’ Operations teams

Potential rotational after-hours support

Preferred Knowledge/Experience

SCADA systems VTSCADA, Wonderware, Cygnet but other experience will be considered

Knowledge/Experience with object-oriented programming languages

Knowledge/Experience with industrial protocols, i.e., Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT Sparkplug B protocols

Knowledge/Experience working with relational databases, i.e., MS SQL, Oracle, etc.

Qualifications

1 - 3 years’ experience working with SCADA system design and implementation

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer Engineering, computer science from an accredited college or university desired
