Job Purpose

Manage the resource availability (time off and availability to work) for field workers across the company’s
multiple field locations, enabling work plans, regulatory, budget, work performance, productivity, and customer
expectations are realized.
Manage the transition of resource availability from current manual processes to the planned centralized and
standardized system, utilizing a Resource Management Solution. National Grid is hiring a Scheduler for
our Northboro, MA. Location

Key Accountabilities

Understand changes to regulatory and bargaining agreement rules and implement changes to resource management practices, as needed.
Provide guidance and support to GBE to help in the effective execution and integration of the Resource Management Solution into the business.
Keep up to date with Resource Management Solution enhancements in order to ensure sustaining best practices for National Grid.
Post-go live of the Resource Management Solution, provide technical guidance, support and coaching post-go live to others in order to share knowledge and develop technical understanding within discipline. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stake holders in order to share best practices, drive consistency in resource planning and ensure timely delivery of projects.
Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek better ways of performing work in order to drive greater efficiencies.
Works within a high paced, high volume environment.
Sees multiple relationships, identifying several likely causes or consequences of a situation. For example, when analyzing resource requirements at an individual and portfolio level.


Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or equivilant work experience in a related field or three years work experience in a related field.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. Microsoft Office products – Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge or awareness of relevant software preferred (e.g. SAP, Workforce, Salesforce, Tableau). Knowledge or awareness of energy system operations preferred.
Experience of managing project teams and projects independently.
Valid driver’s license required

Salary

$74,000 - $87,000 a year
