QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Valid S-6 certificate; degree in School Psychology

2. Demonstrates interpersonal skills allowing psychologist to work effectively with parents, staff, and students.

3. Physical demands – position requires significant sitting, standing, and walking; some bending and kneeling. Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling will not normally exceed thirty (30) pounds, and will usually be in the area of ten (10) pounds.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Conducts comprehensive individual pupil evaluations in effort to determine individual needs.

2. Is present at work every day and arrives at the assigned time.

3. Makes the fullest possible use of information provided by professional personnel and parents in developing and implementing educationally relevant recommendations for all children.

4. Demonstrates an attitude and demeanor that contributes to an atmosphere of harmony and goodwill in the work place.

5. Complies with all requirements for mandatory reporting of child abuse, illegal harassment or any criminal activity for which the employee becomes aware.

6. Helps children who have learning and/or behavioral problems through consultative services to teachers, principals, and parents in designing intervention strategies.

7. Serves as an integral member of RTI/SST, Section 504, and I.E.P. teams at schools and provides information on research-based interventions for staff to implement on behalf of students.

8. Interprets assessment results to counselors, teachers, and parents.

9. Participates in professional learning sessions for school personnel as directed.

10. Continually re-evaluates and follows up on the effectiveness of recommendations and interventions regarding individual children.

11. Is knowledgeable of community services and, when appropriate, initiates outside referrals to the most feasible agency or person.

12. Participates in professional meetings, educational conferences, and staff development opportunities.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $46,712.00 - $99,063.00 per year
