As a teacher at Garden Nursery School (GNS), you will be part of a small, yet warm and caring community of dedicated early childhood professionals and parents to create an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual respect in which children (ages 2.9 - 5 years) can play, learn and thrive. Job Responsibilities:

• Work in a two-person teaching team to create and maintain a nurturing environment for children and their parent/s. Our core classroom hours are 8:30am-1:00pm with a smaller group size extended play program from 1:00-3:00pm
• Collaboratively plan curriculum that reflects student interests and lead play-based activities.
• Plan and run the Extended Play program.
• Document student progress and ensure parent communication throughout the year.
• Attend monthly board meetings and occasional community events

All candidates must have:

• EEC Preschool Lead Teacher certification and/or MA Educator License Early Childhood Birth-3rd Grade
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field.
• 3-5 years preschool teaching experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of, and experience in, Emergent and Social-Emotional Curriculum
