Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Barry Sports Information office staff in event score table activities during schedules home games including score book/score sheet, scoreboard and shot clock
Must display a professional decorum befitting that of very visible community ambassadors for Barry University. Furthermore, the intercollegiate athletic programs will be operated with strict adherence to the published rules of the NCAA in order to assure that the University’s status within the community always remains a positive one.
Essential Functions
Coordinates activities as they happen on the court during the sporting event by:

Recording actions on score sheets or in the score book.

Acting as the official scorer for the sport assigned (volleyball/basketball).

Inputting results/actions into scoreboard panel so they are displayed on the digital score board.

Resetting shot clock for Basketball as stated by the NCAA guidelines.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements

High school diploma
-
A minimum of one year of relevant experience.

General knowledge of volleyball and/or basketball is required.

Experienced operating digital equipment and score book/score sheet preferred.
