Job description
Experienced screen printers will really enjoy working at Badger! We have an amazing pre-press area, modern M&R machines, and rarely use more than 4-5 screens for the orders, making set-ups a breeze for those with experience.
The Screen Printer is responsible to set-up and operate assigned screen printing machines as directed.
- Inserts and aligns screens.
- Checks fabric for defects, ironing them if necessary.
- Verifies ink color(s) for each application.
- Measures artwork and confirms it meets the specifications.
- Prints test articles for approval.
- Loads and unloads machine at assigned pace to meet production targets.
- If assigned a manual machine, pulls and pushes ink, and loads articles into dryer.
- Generates replacement and fallout tickets, as required.
- Cleans spots and stains on garments, when appropriate.
- Completes production documentation, as required.
- Cleans work station daily and as required.
- Meets individual production and quality goals.
- Arrives to work on-time and in the proper condition to perform assigned duties as scheduled – attendance is a basic work requirement.
- Clocks-in and -out according to policy.
- Follows all published work and safety rules for the facility.
- Ability to read and understand verbal instructions
- Ability to operate a screen printing machine
- Ability to see and distinguish colors and shades
- Ability to stoop, reach, handle and manipulate objects and materials
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
