Job description
As a SEC Reporting Analyst, you’ll be a key team member in the Company’s financial reporting process, which most prominently includes its public company reporting process to the SEC. This process includes the preparation of the Company’s consolidated financial statements and the periodic reporting to the SEC on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K. In addition, this position plays a critical support role in many technical accounting matters.

What you’ll do
  • Preparation of and assistance with the Company’s SEC reporting, as well as various other internal and external financial reports, statutory audit financial statement packages, internal monthly reporting packages and Board of Director deliverables.
  • Preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation and schedules for all relevant SEC filings, primarily 10-Qs and 10-Ks.
  • Lead the effort to complete the quarterly and annual SEC and GAAP disclosure checklists.
  • Collaborate with business unit accountants, the accounting policy team and other departments and personnel to gather and analyze data to be used in various financial statement disclosures.
  • Serve as a trusted accounting advisor to business leaders.
  • Assist in the research of complex accounting issues and develop recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting policy team to maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal control documentation.
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flow, and statement of stockholders’ equity. This includes experience with eliminations, foreign currency translation and revaluation, non-controlling interest, other comprehensive income, and EPS.
  • Partner with Accounting and Workday Systems teams to suggest general ledger enhancements for efficient financial reporting.

  • Superior ability to prioritize activities, multi-task and meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to explain financial and accounting concepts and practices to business leaders and team members with varied backgrounds and expertise.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and demonstrate a positive/flexible attitude in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • CPA License or working towards CPA License
  • Prior relevant work experience in either public accounting and/or financial reporting. Additional experience in SEC Reporting is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with insurance accounting, non-controlling interest accounting, stock-based compensation accounting, preferred but not required.
  • Workday and/or Workiva experience, preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity of public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable.
