Part time on call unarmed security officers for assignments in hospital setting for the mission of transporting patients to long term care facilities throughout Michigan and Wisconsin . Must be at least 18 years of age, clean background check. Prior experience preferred but not required. Good judgement, dependability, professionalism and de-escalation techniques are key. DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

Perform professional driving tasks under normal and adverse conditions
Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergency
Permit only authorized persons to address or treat patient
Observe departing personnel to protect against harm
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents
Provide assistance to patients, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

The Ideal Candidate
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required for an Escort Officer

If previously employed, meaningful and verifiable work history

OTHER:

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
Must have access to reliable transportation

Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:

36 hour firearms training if armed or otherwise required
Physical exam, if required by client contract

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Driving, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
