Graebel Companies, Inc is looking for a Senior Global Payroll Administrator. This role will include processing all aspects of domestic and international payroll. The successful candidate should have the ability to demonstrate familiarity and compliance to all local payroll rules and regulations for all locations. Ability to prioritize, adhere to payroll review and deadlines schedules. Able to work independently, analyze issues and suggest resolutions, Attention to details, and ability to work with confidential private information appropriately.

Responsibilities will include these areas:
  • Process two bi-weekly US domestic payrolls, recommend efficiency changes and optimize payroll processing procedures. Coordinate with Director of Global Payroll with all quarterly and year-end close processes for US payrolls. When necessary, team with HR to provide answers to employees regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Partner with the Director Global Payroll to manage and process global payrolls in ADP Streamline and Local Service Providers, including establishing new payrolls in new countries as we expand. Must be able to work with global payroll service providers, communicate changes for international employees and understands the requirements of global privacy regulations (i.e. GDPR) and all local payroll regulations.
  • Provide analysis of payroll and related costs to identify trends and to ensure accurate reporting, handle ad-hoc projects and reports, General Ledger payroll account reconciliations, and other assignments as needed to help support the Finance and HR Departments. Can recommend, implement and improve processes with an emphasis on automation and to ensure timely compliance in US and foreign jurisdictions. Stay abreast of Global and Domestic trends and regulatory environment to ensure compliance; advise management of material changes.
  • Interface and partner with HR to support onboarding/registration of new employees as well as separations as per local legislation in all global jurisdictions. Works closely with Benefits to ensure accurate benefit deductions and record keeping.
  • Assist Director in creating payroll SOPs for each country. Include country specific idiosyncrasies, OT rules, PTO guidelines, taxable benefits, gross up calculations. Assist in setting up the new Payroll data filing system.
  • Expense processing of all domestic and international employees using either of our payroll systems, or a new system to be determined.
  • Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.


Required Skills

Required Experience

Education: High school or equivalent required. May include specialized classes beyond high school or equivalent. Associate's Degree in Accounting, Payroll Accounting Class is preferred

Knowledge/Experience: Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of payroll administration experience is acceptable in lieu of formal education. Experience with a third party payroll system (ADP WorkForceNow, ADP Streamline) is desirable.

Licenses/Certifications/Specialized Training: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) - American Payroll Association

Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Excel required; Experience with ADP WorkforceNow (WFN) necessary; Excellent communication skills necessary to deal with delicate payroll situations.


Anticipated Salary and Benefits Summary - $65-85k in Colorado. Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation range for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado. Compensation in different markets will be based upon that market.
