Build core web services that help Gallup deliver analytics and advice about everything that matters.

As an experienced Java developer, you will use your deep expertise in Java and application development to develop and maintain Gallup’s web application and data processing/analytics platform. This includes developing, enhancing and maintaining applications using AWS cloud technologies like Dynamo, Lambda and Batch, along with other specialized services.

We offer remote work opportunities for qualified senior Java developer candidates. You will have the flexibility to work remotely within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska. Occasional travel to team meetings or company-related events may be required.

What you need:

• At least five years of professional software development experience required
• At least three years of experience working in modern Java (version 8 or above preferred) required
• At least three years of experience developing data applications using popular relational databases required
• Strong conceptual understanding of HTTP and RESTful services, as well as relational and nonrelational data stores required
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience in computer science, MIS or a related field required
• Experience with DevOps preferred
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies preferred
• To live within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, Nebraska, preferred
