Role Summary: MSG Sphere Studios is seeking an individual who has experience in studio, post, and live action operations and productions. As the Senior Manager Studio Operations, you will manage all technical demonstrations, research & testing, VIP tours, upgrades and installation scheduling for Sphere Studios. This role requires stellar communication skills with the ability to interpret interdepartmental goals at every level, gauging evolving capability and facilitating the completion of major milestones at regular intervals. The Senior Manager will be the point of contact for external vendors interacting with the various internal teams. They will act as bridge between departments, ensuring any requirements made vertically or horizontally have a clear structure and are an efficient use of resources. This role will be expected to liaise with both internal and external groups, vendors, business guests and clients. As a steward of the Studio the Sr. Manager will interact with talent, executives, vendors, and venue related personnel, and as such it is imperative this role represent the company’s culture and values. The Sr. Manager of Studio Operations is a champion, supporter, and host to all personnel, partners, and guests that relate to the safe and successful operation of the studio. - Work with internal departments to on-board external vendors for departmental needs
- Point of contact and facilitator for Sphere Studios technical, operational, logistic planning
- Manage relationships with support teams, both internal and external
- Manage itinerary for internal/external review sessions
- Support logistical and mechanical needs of any Capture or Production shoots in Sphere Studios
- Be fully engaged in the presentation/distribution of material throughout the department’s downline
- Work with Facility Manager to ensure a well-equipped, state-of-the-art studio environment
- Design and maintain hospitality practices commensurate with a world-class entertainment venue and in-line with MSG Sphere aesthetic and experiential standards.
- Interdepartmental liaison to Design and Experience, Creative, Immersive, Gaming, and all teams that will inform potential experiences in the venue
- Project summary management between relevant departments and procurement/resource tracking
- Curate VIP tours with a goal to create immersive experiences for our guests
- Manage the daily schedules of operations staff to ensure coverage of VIP tours, departmental initiatives, dailies, reviews and other Sphere Studio’s needs.
- 5+ years working in production and post-production in the entertainment industry
- Superb organizational skills with ability to create executive presentations, budget summaries, production plans, multi-project timelines, etc.
- A confident, professional, and persuasive communication style with senior leaders and team
- A passion for creative problem-solving and strategic thinking
- Ability to remain flexible and calm in high-pressure situations and adjust as multiple moving
- Work in a production environment with ability to work off hours and weekends as necessary
