We have a new leadership opportunity for a Senior Payroll Manager, who will join our Accounting Team at our Administrative Offices, located in Kingston.

This position will be key to our future HR/PR software search and implementation, and will be responsible for performing various Payroll responsibilities, including but not limited to, supervision of all aspects of payroll processing on a timely basis for over 1400 employees, research and resolution of payroll issues, preparation of general ledger reconciliations and payroll data, and communication with staff and supervisors regarding payroll questions.

Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring accuracy of work, maintaining confidentiality and setting the example of communicating respectfully and thoughtfully with peers, staff, people supported and outside vendors.
  • Reviewing all vouchers covering deductions, payroll taxes, travel expenses, and payroll funding.
  • Reviewing all payroll tax returns, and wage and hour inquiries.
  • Maintaining staff master files and allocation tables.
  • Preparing and reviewing payroll journal and posting to the general ledger, making corrections as necessary.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate distribution of payroll checks complying with proper internal controls.
  • Preparing all benefit and leave accruals as necessary.
  • Taking initiative on projects and demonstrate excellence in teamwork.
  • Actively participating in staff meetings to ensure efficient flow of information and communication of key issues.

HOURS: 40/Monday through Friday - business hours

Minimum Requirements:

  • Dedicated professional
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience with automated HR/PR systems
  • Superior computer skills including Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $100,000.00 per year
