Senior Recertification Specialist – Property Management
The Central Office of Eagle Point Management seeks a Senior Recertification Specialist with deep affordable housing experience, strong organizational skills, and legendary customer service to lead our team. This dynamic team position requires previous hands-on experience in Low Income Housing Tax Credit and HUD Section 8 compliance. This position is responsible for the oversight and hands-on processing of annual certifications and a limited number of interim certifications for a portfolio in St. Louis, MO. This forward-thinking individual will lead our first remote compliance processing center from our South Portland offices. Supported by our in-house Compliance Department you will ensure 100% compliance within all applicable program guidelines for approximately 600 primarily senior housing units.

Summary:
Responsible for the following:
- Prepare and transmit recertification notices at 120 days, 90 days, and 60 days while also tracking same for the team.
- Conduct remote interviews with residents and/or applicants.
- Process notices of lease non-compliance for failure to recertify as applicable while ensuring rules are followed by the team.
- Maintain and control confidential files and records.
- Prepare initial eligibility documentation and rent calculation.
- Verify income, assets, medical or unusual expenses while providing guidance to others on acceptable means of third-party verifications.
- Obtain Compliance Department approval for all files and process corrections as needed.
- Complete annual recertifications, as well as computing any interim rent changes.
- Ensure completed recertification is transmitted to the site, signed, and recorded in OneSite.
- Upload completed and executed recertification file to OneSite.
Necessary Skills:
- Affordable housing compliance experience, including LIHTC and Section 8
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Honest communication with VP, Compliance Director, and property staff.
- Knowledge of RealPage / OneSite, or similar management software
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls and email with timely responses.
- Ability to track progress accurately and process notices accordingly.
Specialized Experience (3 years preferred):
LIHTC Compliance experience (Required)
HUD experience (Preferred)
Certificates and Licenses:
Spectrum C3P or similar certification
Valid driver's license and means of transportation
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to interact effectively with residents remotely
- Ability to thrive and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong sense of urgency and solid time management
