Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time UI/UX Developer to join our Team of I/T based Business Analysts.

Role:

• We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Developer to join our team. As a UI/UX Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for web and mobile applications. You will work closely with our development team, IT business analyst team, marketing, and internal departments to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that meet the needs of our coworkers and loyal guests.
• Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Develop and maintain design guidelines, templates, and libraries
  • Design and develop visually appealing, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications
  • Create prototypes and mockups to demonstrate concepts and designs
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the UI/UX designs are technically feasible and seamlessly transition the designs to the development team for implementation
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the user experience and identify areas for enhancement

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent degree from a two year college, as well as five or more years’ experience as a UI/UX Developer.

Candidates should possess the following:

• Ability to conduct user research: Conducting user research to identify user needs and behaviors.
• Design thinking: Using design thinking principles to empathize, ideate, prototype, and test solutions.
• User interface design: Designing and developing user interfaces that are aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and functional.
• Interaction design: Designing and developing interactions that are intuitive and engaging for users.
• Information architecture: Structuring and organizing information in a way that is easy to understand and navigate.
• Prototyping: Creating interactive prototypes to test and validate design solutions.
• Usability testing: Conducting usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions.
• Front-end development: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring designs to life.
• Continuous learning: Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and industry developments.
• Experience with UI prototyping software such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for word processing, spreadsheets, visualizations, and project planning
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership to effectively influence change
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• Ability to educate individuals on new systems as well as changing software features and functionalities
• Ability to develop approaches to solving problems in new business situations and technical environments
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department directors, managers, co-workers, and external vendors
• Ability to ask appropriate questions, interpret co-worker requests, and develop detailed functional design specifications

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours, or as needed to perform duties.
