Our Service Enablement team within ensures products are developed focusing on serviceability and supportability. Partnering cross-functionally, were involved in all stages of the product life cycle.

Job Purpose/USP

As a Service Architect II, you will act as the voice of the customer and GSS functions throughout product design and development. As an internal consultant for the business, you'll help design complex solutions to deliver serviceability and supportability. Directly impacting Akamai revenues, you'll influence overall product and business strategy.

As a Service Architect II - GSS Service Enablement, you will be responsible for:

• Operating as the evangelist of the global services and support division, throughout the product life cycle
• Creating and sharing a strategic vision for serviceable and supportable products
• Defining the technical requirements for product supportability and assess the product against these requirements
• Advocating best practice for the customer and internal teams during product design, development and implementation
• Owning project launch readiness, ensuring all documentation, polices and processes are in place to deliver to customer

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
• Be well versed in how the internet works, it's networks and protocols e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL
• Demonstrate a good balance of technical and strategic skills
• Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships with internal teams across the business
• Display excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate to technical and business audiences
• Show effective organization skills and be detail oriented
