We are hiring a General Manager to oversee a well established Upper East Side restaurant. The space is a casually elegant neighborhood restaurant and a destination for wine lovers. Our Executive Chef combines local and seasonal ingredients to create a menu that changes daily. Boasting a wine list of over 40,000 bottles, our restaurant is widely considered one of the most exciting places to drink aged Burgundy, and Old-World wines, alike.

We are seeking a lead-by-example General Manager to direct the daily operations and long-term business strategy at our flagship restaurant. The property includes a 60-seat fine dining restaurant with an ambitious wine program and an allegiance to high-quality, freshly made, real food.

We seek a mature individual, independent and self-motivated, with the ability to design, implement and continuously improve service and systems. You will report directly to the owner of one of New York’s most respected multi-generational, family-owned businesses.

The position offers:

Our ideal candidate will have these skills and assets:

· 5+ years dining room experience, ideally in multiple hourly roles

· Prior to assuming management responsibilities.

· Excellent food and beverage knowledge

· Excellent verbal & written communication skills

· Proficiency in restaurant software applications (POS/Aloha/OpenTable/Resy/Excel)

· Understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

· A deep commitment to hospitality, continually defining and refining service.

· Be self-directed with the ability to work independently.

· Knowing how to take corrective action when issues arise.

· Have the energy, confidence and desire to thrive in a hands-on environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
