Fresh Stack Burger Co is a new modern-day burger restaurant serving a fresh take on the American classics. We serve burgers, chicken sandwiches, amazing sides, salads, stacked shakes, and local craft beer. It's the first restaurant of many for the founding team comprised of Sean Thomas and celebrity chef Fabio Viviani. This is an amazing opportunity to get in on the ground floor at our first store!
We are seeking energetic, flexible, and hard-working individuals to join our growing team. This is a mid-level experience position for someone who has 1-2 years restaurant experience specifically in a fast casual environment. Our Shift Leaders start alongside our Team Members in doing all function BOH and FOH. We believe the best leaders are those who can perform all positions at a high level and is the example to their team with the ability to train, correct and connect with their peers. We're looking to develop future Assistant Managers, Managers and business Partners!

Job Responsibilities
Work hard while having fun! You'll work alongside our Team Members executing daily on orders and upholding our high standards in sanitation, and processes. You're an important piece to the puzzle as we build and grow our team across Illinois and beyond. What this means is there's room for growth! As you grow, your responsibilities will increase along with your pay, with future opportunities for growth into roles as a Trainer, Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, Manager and beyond.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager include:
- Being an active leader
- Food prep, cooking, and cleaning (hands on and delegating)
- Providing an exceptional experience and high quality of service to our customers
- Follow and adhere to opening and/or closing standards and procedures
- Maintaining high standards for service and sanitation
- Operating at fast pace without diminishing quality
- Adding your own personality into a fun and team-oriented culture
- Manage high service levels of safety, sanitation, quality, speed while maintain high levels of customer service satisfaction
- Lead and works to maintain the facility and all equipment to the highest standards – ensuring Safety and Cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour, EEO, Department of Health, etc. as well as compliance with all Loss Prevention and SOX compliance.
- Assist in operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, Scheduling, etc.)
- Help build and lead high performance team of hourly Team Members by participating in the recruitment, selection and performance management of people.
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of exceptional performance and leadership experience supervising a team in hospitality and/or food service
- Effective Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced, high volume environment
- Self-motivated achiever interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
- Open availability and flexibility is a must – ability to work any shift
- Be able to work in a standing position for long extended periods of time (up to 9 hours)
- Food Safety Certification according to local jurisdiction
- Basset Certified or willing to take the test
- Successful completion of mandatory background check
- Strong Problem Solving Skills
