Working hours: Mon-Friday 10pm-6:30am

This is a hands on Supervisory position in which you are expected to supervise operators, relieve for breaks, train new team members, and drive performance & quality.

Essential Functions:

  • This position is responsible for conveying a professional attitude towards all associates while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Ensure that associates comply with all safety policies and procedures while in the workplace.
  • Ensure product being produced meets established quality standards.
  • Responsible for training of associates. This includes safety and orientation training, onboarding, coaching, monitoring productivity and providing feedback to the associate as well as the HR Department.
  • Ensure personnel records are kept up to date and provided to the HR Department in a timely manner.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and communicate information to Senior Management.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports.
  • Responsible for resolving personnel issues and monitoring associate conduct, consult the HR department for guidance as needed.
  • Responsible for reporting and approving associates time in the payroll system.
  • Plan and execute the production schedule daily, providing supervision and direction to associates.
  • Report any machine / equipment issues or repairs needed.
  • Control costs daily through monitoring labor requirements / allocation.
  • Actively look for and participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring 5S is maintained within the department daily.

Required Education & Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in injection molding and / or thermoforming preferred.
  • High School diploma.
  • Additional education / degrees will be considered an advantage.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.

  • Ability to develop spreadsheets, write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to managers or employees in the organization.

  • The associate must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.
  • The associate must be able to speak, hear, and have acceptable vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
