As we continue to grow, we are looking for a full-time Shipping Lead (2nd Shift) to join our Allied Wire & Cable (AWC) team! In this role, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day activities in the Shipping Department. You will have accountability for the people in your department, workload, equipment, and ensuring the overall safety of the Shipping Department.

We recognize that providing excellent service to our customers begins with our warehouse teams; we pride ourselves on providing a safe, clean work environment and a stable schedule. Hours for this position are 2:00pm-10:30pm M-F. We offer a starting pay rate around $22/hr based off experience (+ $1 shift differential) plus full benefits.

What you’ll do

• Daily setup of equipment in shipping department
• Set daily/weekly/monthly goals for team
• Interact with the sales team via email, sales inquiries, and production requests
• Train and develop employees
• Review productivity, efficiency, errors, and provide coaching/feedback
• Provide daily and weekly summaries of department status/issues
• Occasionally assist in shipping department to help achieve goals

What you’ll bring

• Previous shipping experience required
• Ability to oversee warehouse operations and activities
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in department/team/shift meetings
• Ability to manage a team and participate in training/cross-training activities
• Accurately read, interpret, and follow detailed instructions and perform in process inspections
• High school diploma preferred but not required
• Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50lbs
