Shipping/Transportation Clerk
Job description
SUMMARY: Handle split duties consisting of maintaining inventory of equipment and data entry, as well as putting the transportation paperwork together for the drivers. The position’s purpose is to keep the selectors moving, as well as to provide the documentation for the drivers that they will need to deliver the product. THIS POSITION INCLUDES WORKING WEEKENDS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to perform the following duties along with all other duties as requested by the Shipping / Transportation Supervisor. It is the responsibility of each individual at AWG to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.
Maintain all files involved with Billing Control System (BCS), Billing Maintenance System (BMS), and Sales Order Supplement (SOS).
Track equipment usage and report on anything missing
Organize and manage handbills to the member stores
Put delivery paper work and invoices together for the drivers
Organize interdivisional transfer paperwork

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s License.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Computer literacy; office procedures; knowledge of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri; ability to read maps; working knowledge of the union contract; and grammar, standard English usage, punctuation, and spelling. Must be able to operate a car.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
