Description/Job Summary
This position is responsible for the design of Specialty Store, Contractor signage, 84 Outdoor Billboard Designs, Nemacolin as well as outside business designs. The incumbent will talk with managers, co-managers, Area Managers, outside customers, etc. to determine where signage is needed. This position is also responsible for fielding calls about estimated time for signs to be produced and shipped and is in constant contact with the Art Department for production of art work. The incumbent also helps assist with production if need be with rush orders.
Essential Funtions:
- Graphic Design of signs, ads, 84 related or outside jobs
- Delegation of different design jobs to other graphic artists
- Keeping track of work flow of themselves as well as other designers
- Phone conversations with clients company and noncompany related
- Production work if necessary
- Go on site if need be for design ideas / consultations with clients
Required Skills
- Computer Skills: Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software, Internet Software, Design Software, Database Software, and Manufacturing Software.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Required Experience
- Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
