Job description
The Ski Tuner assembles and maintains new and existing rental fleet by performing the following duties. Afternoons into the evening until all skis are tuned. Working 4 shifts or more a week gets a free season pass.
Ski Turner Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery for tuning ski/snowboard equipment.
- Maintain the quality of the rental fleet.
- Services customer’s ski/snowboard equipment by performing repairs and general tunings to customer skis and snowboards.
- Work with customers to ensure the best possible repair service.
- Responsible for cleaning ski tuning machinery and shop area daily.
- Other shop duties may be assigned.
Ski Turner Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondences. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
