SLOT SHIFT MANAGER
Job description
Summary:
Demonstrate superior customer service skills by helping with guest needs and to provide for the general safety and security of guest, employees and company assets. Responsible for assisting the guests in the Slot area and providing excellent guest service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Safeguards company assets within the Slot Department.
- Responsible for floor operations.
- Ascertains that policies and procedures as established by management are adhered to.
- Reviews and signs applicable reports and/or jackpots and fills.
- Assists with scheduling, training, evaluating and counseling slot team members.
- Investigates slot operations overages and shortages (If applicable).
- Oversees machine play and promotes positive customer relations.
- Checks machine malfunctions and notifies slot mechanics.
- Solves disputes on floor for guests and team members.
- Reports details related to team member or guest disputes to the Director of Gaming via email or by phone in a timely manner.
- Communicates/reports information to oncoming shifts that may be relevant
- Ability and knowledge of slot and electronic equipment.
- Report any unsafe condition of equipment or property to upper management. Including the department Director.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations.
- Report any workplace safety issues to the Slot Director and the appropriate department (Security, Engineering, Internal Maintenance).
- Knowledge of gaming regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Skill in developing and maintaining guest relations.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with management, staff, and co-workers; pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with and assisting people.
- Ability to work as Manager On Duty (MOD)
Qualifications
- Previous working knowledge of gaming machines and associated equipment preferred
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents
- Previous experience working in a team or group environment
- Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Ability to communicate effectively with property team members, location owners, managers/s and supervisors
- Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
- Able to accurately perform basic math skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations
