LMPPG is currently seeking an SMA Associate to join their New York City based team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of investment products, excellent written/oral communication skills and the ability to handle the responsibilities outlined below:

- Work directly with Head of Business Development on all operational transitions related to the SMA business
- Work directly with LMPPG’s service provider, sponsors, and Franklin Templeton SIMs to establish and maintain all necessary interfaces for new/existing sponsor business. Serve as liaison in general across the platform.
- Work with street side brokers, sponsors, SIMs and LMPPG’s service provider to resolve all trade related issues
- Respond to inquiries from clients, FAs, and PM teams
- Respond to all ad hoc sponsor inquiries including audit, performance outlier and step out requests
- Assist with daily escalations from FAs, LMPPG’s service provider and sponsor firms regarding a variety of time-sensitive ad-hoc and systemic issues (e.g., trading, settlement, performance, operational).
- Work with operations and technology personnel throughout the firm on all projects pertaining to the SMA business. Provide operational and administrative support for all projects
- Work with Business Development team to coordinate annual ADV communications, off cycle communications of PM changes and any other material changes to sponsor firms
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- BA/BS in business or related field
- 4 + years of SMA and/or asset management experience
- Strong understanding of investment products
- Trade Support/Settlement background a must
- Understanding of operations and trade implementation functions in separately managed accounts
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and analyze problems and provide resolutions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently but must also be a team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Formula Functions etc.)
- Knowledge of Archer is a plus
