JOB OVERVIEW The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring Preston Trail’s social media strategy to help extend our reach in helping people find and follow Jesus Christ. This person will represent the brand and voice of Preston Trail in all communications.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor church-wide social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to extend our reach, grow our following, and foster digital engagement
  • Write, design, capture and publish content for static posts and videos while being intentional about maintaining a social media aesthetic for Preston Trail’s accounts
  • Execute upon the social media calendar to publish content around ministry initiatives, weekend services and relevant cultural connections, holidays, national observances, etc.
  • Research and stay informed of latest social media trends, current performance metrics, emerging platforms and industry best practices in order to develop appropriate digital marketing strategies to drive our goals
  • Represent the voice and values of Preston Trail in the social media world by cultivating engagement, responding promptly to comments and reviews
  • Represent our social media presence in the Digital Workgroup
  • Build/train/lead volunteer teams to assist, as needed
  • Participate in the creative process and planning for worship services, as needed

  • Must have a passion to see people find and follow Jesus Christ through social media
  • Proven experience developing and growing social media platforms
  • Experience taking and editing photos and videos for social media
  • Ability to write engaging, concise content
  • Fruitful, thriving, and growing faith in Jesus Christ
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to maintain healthy and motivating relationships with managers, coworkers and team members

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree preferred (Graphics Design, Marketing, Communications, or Web Design)
  • Experience with Apple operating system, Planning Center Online, Canva (or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite
