SMSI is looking for a Solutions Architect 3 for work at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This is a full-time position.

Job Description

The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory s (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE‐2) provides custom application development, commercial off‐the‐shelf application implementation, database administration, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service Solutions. SAE‐2 supports business processes for financial, personnel, procurement, and human resources IT systems. Integrations Architect. Working alongside some of the brightest minds, you will work with a team using agile development methodologies that support existing custom and COTS applications. You will also design, develop, test, and deploy new functionality to any new or existing applications the group is working on.

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for:
     Providing an architecture for a standard integration strategy that can be utilized to integrate current and
    future on premise COTS, custom, and SaaS solutions in a secure and repeatable method preferably
    utilizing current LANL software.
     Implementing the selected strategy with an on‐premise Oracle EBS 12.2.x system and a SaaS system
    such as Ariba or ServiceNow.
     Oversight for development and project documentation, schedules, and resource utilization through
    coordination with Scrum Master and Product Owner.
     Researching, developing, and maintaining various integration solutions between COTS and custom
    applications.
     Providing technical mentorship on an architectural direction for complex systems.
     Provide knowledge transfer to LANL technical staff.

    Minimum Job Requirements:
     Demonstrated expert level experience with architecting and implementing integration strategies
    between on premise COTS solutions and various Software as a Service (SAAS) solutions
     Experience implementing integrations with SaaS solutions such as Ariba, Fieldglass, ServiceNow,
    SuccessFactors, DevonWay, Oracle HCM Cloud, etc.
     Expertise in Oracle EBS 12.2.x APIs and integration strategies
     Experience utilizing an ODS (Operational Data Store) as both a consumer and provider
     Experience consuming and authoring RESTful and/or SOAP web services.
     Experience with designing, working, and utilizing relational and non‐relational Databases.
     Knowledge of the DevSecOps culture and principles and experience with CI/CD development, and
    deployment of software in diverse application environments.
     Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and
    recommending solutions to problems.
     Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and
    collaborate with technical and non‐technical peers, customers, and stakeholders.
    Desired Qualifications:

    Additional Skills
    Experience using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
    Experience using automated functional testing tools like Eggplant.
    Experience utilizing PLSQL
    Experience utilizing Denodo
