Job Description

The SOAC directly supports the OTH-CT J3X Director to coordinate special operations activities throughout the region. Advises the J3X and OTH-CT Commander on planning and executing all special operations activities. Supports J3X coordination, de-confliction, and synchronization of all special operations activities throughout the region. Supports the J3X by coordinating closely with the intelligence community (IC) to facilitate common objective accomplishment. Assists in the coordination and planning of special operations activities in the area of responsibility. Under the supervision and subject to the approval of J3X, compiles special operations activities data and disseminates throughout the controlled operations community. Supports J3X training for subordinate SOACs to ensure proper database management, Operation Security (OPSEC), and tactics, techniques and procedures regarding special operations activities are fulfilled. Assists in the accomplishment of campaign plan specific goals as specified by the COR. Creates, reviews, and implements special operations policies across command.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS.

Minimum qualifications required:

a. TS/SCI Security Clearance

b. CI Polygraph and appropriate ACCMs

d. Ability to obtain a GCOMS account

c. A minimum of ten (10) years of operational experience and subject matter

expertise in Unconventional Warfare (UW), Advanced Special Operations

Techniques (ASOT) and Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE)

having attained the rank of E7, CW2, O3 or higher.

d. Preferably CMF 18 series or related background. ASOT Managers Course

graduate desired

e. Required to work 60 hours per week, 6 days at 10 hours per day.

f. Must meet all medical requirements for deployment.

g. Must attend and successfully complete CONUS Readiness Center (CRC)

training.

h. Must have a valid U.S. Passport
