Innovative Gx Laboratories is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collectors. The ideal candidates will have medical and/or specimen collection experience, good patient care skills, and a positive professional attitude.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the proper identification, collection, and labeling of Infectious disease specimens (nasal swabs).

POSITION EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expected to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Expected to write simple correspondence.
• Expected to order all tests on the computer.
• Expected to have knowledge of laboratory tests.
• Expected to organize specimen collection.
• Expected to record specimen collection.
• Expected to assist in orientation of new staff.
• Expected to possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for all ages.
• Expected to collect samples.
• Expected to accurately interpret physician's orders.
• Prioritizing and responding promptly to customer inquiries
• Communicating with customers efficiently through email, video meetings, and other platforms
• Ability to learn quickly becoming an in-house resource on our products and services
• Processing orders, forms, applications, and requests
• Dedicated to completing a task through completion
• Communicating, coordinating, and assisting colleagues as necessary

EXPERIENCE:

• Specimen Collection / Processing: 1 year (preferred)
• Nasopharyngeal collection experience (respiratory/COVID)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One-year related experience and/or training in specimen collection.
