We are looking for a Staff Accountant Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, to join our Accounting team in Providence, RI.
The Staff Accountant position will provide accounting and analytical support for Carlisle’s HVAC business. This position is responsible for accounts payable, cash application, inventory, and cost accounting duties in support of the business unit controller. Duties include month-end accounting work to assist in the preparation of financial statements and analysis to help drive financial improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Full scope responsibility for accounts payable vendor invoice processing, vendor master maintenance and check runs. Partners with Purchasing Manager to resolve vendor issues and inquiries. Supports the transition to Shared Services upon SAP implementation.
• Responsible for accounts receivable cash application, invoicing, lockbox deposits and daily bank reconciliation. Supports the transition to Shared Services upon SAP implementation.
• Supports the month-end close process including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
• Supports the SAP implementation including master data updates and validation, testing, and cross-training
• Monitors product costing for accuracy and prepares standard cost updates in SAP
• Supports Controller with various analyses including customer and product profitability, budget to actuals and ad hoc analysis.
• Reconciles inventory, participates in cycle count and physical inventory programs
• Closes SAGE subledgers monthly
• Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust. Typical hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.Some travel is required for this position.
