GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As the Staff Accountant you will perform general monthly close and journal entry tasks. This role will also assist in preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. The Staff Accountant is a self-starting professional who is comfortable in multiple areas of accounting and eager to expand their skill set (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reconciliations, etc.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform tasks over all areas of accounting: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards
  • Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research, and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies
  • Prepare and post journal entries including accrual entries
  • Review financial statements with variance notes
  • Perform various complex account analysis and reconciliations
  • Post monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals
  • Answer accounting and financials questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Contribute to year-end close and reporting
  • Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

  • History of working with ERP software (NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, all a plus)

  • Passionate pursuit of automation and efficiencies within a high-volume environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience in healthcare
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent degree and/or experience
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000/yr
The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
