Job Summary:

Responsible for all processing of the general ledger, monthly journal entries, accounts payable processing, monthly invoicing, budgeting, and monthly/quarterly financial statement preparation. This position also includes administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller and other C-Suite Members.

The position is non-exempt and is responsible to the Controller.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process check requests for AP payment files on a weekly basis
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Posting to the General Ledger
  • Preparing monthly journal entries
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
  • Review, enter, and process all accounts payable on a weekly basis
  • Maintain all accounts payable files, including obtaining current W-9s and processing 1099s annually
  • Prepare weekly and monthly invoices as needed
  • Assist with the upkeep and creation of various departmental budgets to actual
  • Assist the Controller with other financial/accounting/administrative tasks as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)/Ability to operate and use iOS
  • Prior working knowledge of Sage Intacct and/or AthenaNet is a plus
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Healthcare and/or Hospital Accounting/Finance experience is a plus

Education & Preferred:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, required
  • MAcc, MBA in Accounting or Finance, or MHA with an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
