Staff Accountant Position Summary:

Essential Functions:

Ideal candidate embodies the following:

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, including month end close, A/P, revenue recognition, payroll, and account reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting controls and GAAP
  • Innovative; able to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions; strong technical skills to support process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-4 years' experience in accounting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; highly organized; driven to meet deadlines reliably.
  • Understanding of accounting general ledger systems
  • Nonprofit experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills; macros a plus
  • Accounting degree; CPA a plus
