Staffing Coordinator (Scheduler) Job Description

Staffing Coordinators are responsible for planning, organizing and scheduling workers to ensure that company's labor requirements and needs are fulfilled.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Staffing Coordinator job description should contain the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and implement sustainable staffing strategy
  • Investigate company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly
  • Work with recruiting agencies when needed
  • Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
  • Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
  • Assist in new employee onboarding
  • Evaluate new staff
  • Assist with new employee orientation
  • Design and plan work shifts schedules
  • Help with payroll procedures and activities
  • Identify staffing and recruiting
  • Prepare and present reports
  • Create and present and submit reports for upper management

Job requirements and qualifications:

  • 1 years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator or similar role
  • 3 years of experience in designing effective customized HR strategies
  • Knowledge of staffing trends and best practices
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind

Staffing Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Determining the company's staffing needs and developing a staffing strategy.
  • Preparing work schedules and ensuring staffing requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that all staffing decisions comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assisting with employee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintaining daily staffing reports and providing weekly updates to management.
  • Reporting scheduling issues and job vacancies to management.
  • Coordinating with payroll to verify staff details, working hours and correct missing punches.
  • Assisting human resources with daily activities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Staffing Coordinator Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Experience as a staffing coordinator or in a similar position.
  • Ability to efficiently manage people and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred Licensed CNA

CHARACTERISTICS OF TYPICAL WORKDAY

100% Inside work time. 0% Outside work time.

30 Minutes lunch 15 Minutes pm break

8 Total work hours/day 40 Total work hours/week
