Job Description

In the areas of recruitment, the work will include:

  • Developing assessment tools for Agency vacancy announcements to include:
    • developing occupational questionnaires and rating plans for automated or manual rating and ranking of applicants.
    • writing assessment questions, reviewing noncompetitive candidate qualifications.
    • meeting with the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) managers to advise on and assist with recruitment processes and strategies and prepare recruitment packages for submission to the Office of Human Resources (OHR).
Job Requirements
  • 8 years Federal staffing experience
  • Expert knowledge of U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) rules and regulations governing Federal benefits and hiring practices and procedures.
  • Ability to apply Federal Human Resource knowledge to provide consultation and advice.
  • Ability to review applications and make determinations regarding eligibility for consideration.
  • Expert knowledge of OPM qualification standards.
  • Demonstrated experience using the Monster automated staffing system, sufficient to perform all aspects of end-to-end recruitment.
  • Expert ability in development of Job Analyses, Occupational Questionnaires, and Rating Plans using OPM guidelines.
  • Skill in oral communication to provide advice.
  • Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) Certification is strongly preferred.
