About PureSpace
PureSpace is a Series-A stage startup developing new products to reduce food loss and increase food shelf-life. This can help fight against world food security and climate change.

PureSpace is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. We have been developing our product for a number of years. Business is starting to take off, such as a major retail chain joining our customer base.
We plan to grow our startup in US. You will be one of the first team members in our US company.
About the role
You will be in charge of finding new areas in which our technology can make a difference (type of produce, environment, etc.) and accumulate data. The experiments will be mainly conducted in our labs.
This is a full-time onsite position.
Your main duties include:
- Research and propose specific applications where low ethylene and low airborne microbes can be of practical use. Design and execute experiments to confirm.
- Compare freshness parameters of fruits and vegetables in PureSpace group and Control group in various conditions.
- Visit customer sites to perform measurements of freshness indicators when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor, Masters or PhD in Postharvest Science or related discipline.
- Sufficient lab experience to conduct experiments accurately, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Great communication skills.
- Able to reliably commute to Ithaca, NY or Syracuse, NY.
