Store Manager - Facility & Janitorial Supplies
Daycon Products Company, a leading manufacturer and distributor of building maintenance supplies and services, is in search of an Sales Manager to join our ProCenter division. This position will be based in our Rockville, MD store, and will report to the Sales & Operations Manager. The Sales Manager will Manage the Overall aspects of the store environment. Duties include maintaining excellent customer service, achieving sales and margin goals, property management, employee development, and maintaining financial records. Responsible for building own team and supporting the other Pro Center Teams with key responsibilities.

Reports to: ProCenter Sales & Operations Manager
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 8am-6pm; Saturday: 9am-2pm

Essential Responsibilities:
- Generates sales inside and outside his ProCenter by solicitation, cold calling, and customer relationships.
- Oversees everyday sales and operations of his ProCenter.
- Operates and reconciles cash registers to receive payments in the form of credit card, cash or check.
- Communicates weekly with management of the operations of the ProCenter.
- Oversees a variety of projects relative to the day-to-day operation of the ProCenter
- Coordinate sales promotion activities and prepare or direct workers in preparing merchandise displays.
- Prospect, profile, identify and close business in the small to medium size company "growth market" through consistent cold calling, networking, and other lead generation means.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and presentations based on the customer's product and service requirements.
- Drive revenue and sales to meet goals through prospecting, active funnel management and closing business.
- Ensures any price increases, special promotions etc. are communicated to customers well in advance.
- Responsible for all store inventories including reorders and deliveries.
- Must participate in monthly offsite sales meetings.
- Plan and prepare employee work schedules to ensure compliance with company policy.
- Must accurately prepare, communicate, and deliver the stores daily financial records to corporate including closeouts and making bank deposits daily.
Requirements:
- Associates degree and 3-5 years of retail sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Superior oral communication skills
- Excellent Sales ability and skills
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) a plus
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to work weekends and or travel to regional store locations
- Able to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and employees
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to develop and motivate subordinates.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to obtain product knowledge quickly and product applications
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle with current registration.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee makes regular visits to customer locations and other store locations.
