Job Title: Straightener
As a Straightener in our Production department, your goal is to successfully set up and operate robots ensuring that they achieve specified formed blade dimensions.
You can expect to:
- Work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Gain a basic knowledge of quality assurance, engineering and manufacturing tools, terminology and concepts
You will do this by:
- Loading and unloading blades form turn tables
- Visually inspecting the blades for visual defects such as die marks, cracks, metal slivers, etc.
- Completing dimensional checks of blade features at intervals called out on check sheet
- Setting up and programming the robotic straighter
- Erecting boxes, listing tare weights and boxing finished product
- Entering finished goods into Epicor and tagging boxes with identifying information
- Working safely and informing others and supervisor of any observed safety issues.
- Practicing good housekeeping of work area and equipment

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving a forklift
- Experience working with manufacturing quality checks
- Experience using a dial caliper and a height gauge
- Knowledge of metal stampings industry
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to wear appropriate, required PPE
Work Environment:
- Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)
