Summary

New Canaan Community Preschool is hiring teachers for 2023 Summer Camp Program. Candidates should have completed or be presently enrolled in an Early Childhood program whether Associates, Bachelors, or CDA. Teacher is responsible for the supervision of campers while providing a safe and fun learning environment for the children.

Hours are from 8:00am-1:00pm, Monday through Friday, hourly salary. Our summer camp program is 4-weeks from June 19th ? July 21st (we are closed the week of July 4th).

Duties

Essential Job Responsibilities:
� Work under the direction of the Summer Camp Coordinator and Director of Education and alongside other teachers.
� Must have a warm personality, love of children and be able to work in a team-teaching setting.
� Supervision of campers to ensure a safe and healthy environment inside and outside.
� Assist with planning and implementation of daily activities through hands on experiences such as art, literacy, scientific inquiry yoga, music and imaginative play.
� Promote and actively participate in all camper activities
� Lead interactive Meeting Times.
� Serve as a positive role model to the children while providing a program that fosters children?s social/emotional, physical, creative and cognitive development.
� Be comfortable communicating with families regarding their child?s day.
