Job description
Responsible for assisting in the definition and management the all of the UP Health System Business & Clinical Application services. The C&BI Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the business and clinical applications are operating efficiently, effectively and supporting the clinical and business needs of UPHealth System at Marquette’s clinical and business requirements.
Assists with the development of department goals and objectives, establishment and implementation of policies and procedures.
Integrates department services with the organizations primary functions and coordinates with other departments in a manner which fosters a collaborative environment for teamwork within the department and with other departments.
Maintains responsibility for the complete software application portfolio and ensures these applications are maintained at the current release levels and optimized to meet the organization’s needs.
Share accountability for procurement, development and implementation of application systems.
Maintains responsibility for integrated systems, including interface systems and other related bac-end processes and systems.
Serves as a project leader, applying effective project management principles to all aspects of the IT workflow. Accurately defines system scope and objectives, general and detailed information/work flows, and required hardware.
Responsible for assisting with developing and maintaining project plans. Performs meeting preparation and facilitation to identify user requirements, system configuration, documentation, management reporting.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree
- Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience:
5 years hospital information systems experience
3 years supervisor/ management experience in information systems (Preferred)
