Purpose:
The Innovation Commercialization Manager will join the fast-paced and exciting Brand, Innovation and Growth team! The candidate will enable DFC to achieve the growth and innovation vision, accelerate its speed to market, and actively participate in MVP commercialization launches. This position will identify, assess and on-board new suppliers and partners while improving the capabilities of the company’s current and future vendor base. Perform the search in identifying potential partners, completing a preliminary evaluation of vital capabilities and quality systems, negotiating terms, conditions and contracts, and working closely with cross functional teams throughout onboarding and validation, then ending with a successful product launch. Strong understanding of creating a vendor foundation, performing searches, quick evaluations and selecting high quality vendors and partners that meet our new technology, cost, quality and performance needs is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Create, develop and maintain a strong relationship and foundation with vendors and partners to support Growth & Innovation vision.
- Lead commercial negotiations with new vendors, partners, and sources of supply.
- Minimize risk and ensure protection for DFC by developing and implementing operating agreements to protect the company, support sustainability of supply chain and enable cost improvement/containment. Agreements cover areas such as confidentiality, IP ownership, payment terms, along with other terms and conditions required for sustained collaboration (JDA, NDA, LOU, LOI, Supply Agreements…)
- Assist in source assessment of supplier’s financial stability, management capability, strategy alignment, manufacturing & quality system capabilities as well as other areas as needed.
- Develop strategies to support accelerated Growth & Innovation and transition learning to Growth & Strategy and Core business
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and experience in supporting commercialization or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong negotiation, creative problem-solving and analytical skills with proven results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic sourcing direction for new technologies cross-functionally
- Ability to build, maintain and use relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
