Must-Haves
1. Must a Certified Surgical Tech through the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Please include candidate CST# and expiration date.
2. Must have at least one year, to date, of Certified Surgical Technician experience
3. Must have an updated resume - job history dates and units worked in must be accurate
4. Must have proven track record of consistent work history. Not job hopping. If there is job hopping, we simply an need explanation as to why they left (relocation, promotion/growth, etc.).
5. Please be honest about unit, shift, and location candidate is interested in working

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10K
Surg Techs II & III, Certified only
- 20% of the sign-on bonus is paid in the first paycheck.
- Remainder of sign-on is paid as follows:
- 40% after 1st year if sign-on bonus total is $5,001 or greater, 80% after 1st year if sign-on bonus total is $5,000 or less
- 40% after 2nd year if sign-on bonus was $5,001 or greater.

Pay
Our Surgical Technician salaries range from $54,300 to $83,300
There are variables that would place a candidate with a job profile of I, II, or III.
These variables include conversions and years of experience.
We'd be delighted to receive a candidate and complete a phone interview with them to go over their projected salary as well as added sign-on bonus, and night shift differential (if applicable).

Available Locations: Houston TX, The Woodlands TX, Bellaire Tx

Position is responsible for providing expert perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. Position functions as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures. Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory; uses knowledge/expertise to act as a role model and resource for other staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
License/Certification: Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Two (2) years of experience as a surgical technologist and/or has demonstrated competency in two (2) or more specialty areas
  • Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care concepts; demonstrates the ability to perform independently as first scrub in assigned specialty areas.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care concepts; demonstrates the ability to perform independently as first scrub in assigned specialty areas.
  • Provides support for readiness and flow of cases to facilitate overall functioning of the unit, performing assigned duties as needed.
  • Verifies functioning and adequate availability of supplies/instruments/equipment prior to the surgical procedure as indicated by the surgeon’s preference card and other available resources; demonstrates the application of the principles of asepsis in a knowledgeable manner that provides for optimal patient care in the OR.
  • Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time/supply management and accuracy of practice.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff; demonstrates commitment to preparation for acquiring certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $61,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
