The following position is available in the West Springfield Public School systemClassroom Teacher - Cowing Alternative School (CAS)Duties: Provide instruction and services for students grade K-2 at CAS as a teacher for CAS. Students in this classroom have social emotional disabilities or behavioral disabilities requiring a structured environment. The classroom teacher delivers all core academics. Classes are small and require a personalized approach based on the individual needs of each student.The teacher will from time to time work with service providers assigned to the students service delivery grid. This position is a permanent position. Qualifications: - A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university. - Licensure valid for service in the category of Special Education in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Moderate Disabilities or Severe Disabilities).
- Knowledge of Special Education programs; a willingness to familiarize oneself with K-5 general education programs.Salary: per Unit A contractual salary scale
