Job Summary:
The Policy Services Team Lead is responsible for managing the Policy Services team, supporting all policy servicing for insurance carriers who are Covenir clients. As the leader of the team, the Team Lead will be responsible for navigating the daily operations of the team including new business and renewal policy reviews and decisioning, full endorsement processing, direct telephone and chat support of insureds policy coverage inquiries. Responsibilities will include sourcing team members, training, developing, and retaining a highly qualified and motivated team. This position works closely with our clients to develop the best practices, process improvements, and work to strengthen and highlight the value of Covenir.

Job Description:

  • You're a subject matter expert working with customers to process policy changes for multiple customers.
  • Accurately issue policies, endorsements, cancellations etc. using Standard Operating Procedures
  • Process high volumes of work and handle frequent procedural changes with accuracy rate of 98% or better against Service Level Agreement deadlines
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with insureds, agents and client company representatives through friendly, customer-oriented service
  • Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails from customers and agents
  • Be a positive contributor to the Covenir culture

  • This position supports a client on the East Coast.
  • We are a dynamic organization: Occasionally, we may need assistance in other functional areas of the business such as print, premium or customer service.
  • You must be comfortable with uncertainty and frequent shifting of priorities. Must be available to respond in CAT events for FNOL call intake; could include nights and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-4 years' relevant work experience in an insurance-related environment, Homeowners experience preferable.
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of exceptional dedication to providing friendly, customer-oriented service.
  • Demonstrated communications skills (both orally and in writing), and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
