Duration: 12-24+ Months (35 hrs/week) (High Possibility of Further Extensions also)

Responsibilities

· Analysing the solicitation documents to understand the needs of the requestor

· Planning to ensure that deadlines are met

· Liaising with other depts to agree on bid solicitation details

· Editing or rewriting previous scopes of work to reuse and/or update relevant material

· Collect and analyze data in order to assess the time, money, materials, and labor required for construction related services

· Collating materials provided by various departments and ensuring consistency across the solicitation documents

· Ensuring that the bid solicitation is accurate prior to publishing and meets federal and state requirements

· Creating a library of scopes and solicitation documents

Skills Needed

Procurement is seeking a temp employee to assist with writing scopes of work and conducting cost estimates to establish a portfolio of existing and future scopes and refreshing bid documents as needed. Procurement and Operations have approximately 30 requests for scopes that need to be fulfilled.

Procurement does not have staff with the technical expertise of scope writing and estimating to perform these functions. Obtaining a resource that specializes in these services will help Procurement with soliciting the services Operations so desperately needs to provide a quality living environment that protects the health and safety of our residents. The candidate will be responsible for preparing/writing bid solicitations, scopes of work and estimating bid costs.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• New York, NY 10025: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Scope of Work Writing: 5 years (Preferred)
• Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
