Position Overview:

Valley Power Systems is pleased to announce that we are looking for our future Field Sales Representative. This key team member will cover San Diego County, Imperial County, and the Southern portion of Riverside County. Many leads will be provided. With access to a diverse industrial product line the Field Sales Representative will be have the continuous support from Product Managers that can answer any questions in regards to product.

Our future Field Sales Representative will have the opportunity to work in a target rich territory with an existing customer base.

This position has NO COMMISSION CAP! Our Field Sales Representative will not only be entitled to earning their base but will also earn a additional 10% COMMISSION on GP.

Company cell phone and computer is provided. Office in Rialto branch is also made available for this employee if needed.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for outside product sales activities for all existing and potential customers. Has responsibility of sales territory budget preparation, business plan and subsequent cost control in conjunction with the Sales and Product Managers. Work involves using creativity, initiative and working well with customers.

  • Promotes all products offered by VPSI to all existing and potential VPSI customers.
  • Makes sales calls with factory representative as requested by the Sales or Product Manager.
  • Conducts indirect sales as requested by the Sales or Product Manager.
  • Completes all required paperwork in a neat and timely manner.
  • Provides two new customer contacts per week minimum.
  • Meet established sales goals.
  • Carries out Company sales policies and procedures.
  • Meets operational objectives in promoting products of the Company, implementing and coordinating effective sales efforts and developing new accounts.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with customer accounts, dealer and branch personnel.
  • Insures maximum gross profits are quoted and maintained.
  • Develops marketing and sales strategies for the sale of products in conjunction with the Sales or Product Manager.
  • Makes sales calls on customers, dealers, OEM's and users to promote VPSI products; conducts sales presentations.
  • Informs management of business, market and customer trends.
  • Reports competitive situations and territory needs.
  • Maintains a current up-to-date set of Customer Marketing Profiles on the company supplied CRM.
  • Reviews weekly Marketing Profiles and customer contacts with the Sales or Product Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Non Essential Functions:

  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, seminars and tradeshows.
  • Prepare written presentations, reports, and price quotations

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Company sales policies, programs, procedures, products and customer relations.
  • Very high level of analytical ability where problems are involved.
  • Presents self well as a professional representative of the company
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet

Education & Experience:

  • Previous sales experience (industry-related preferred but not required)
  • High School diploma or GED required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
