Thermofluids Analysis Engineer - CFD Specialist - TS I in GAC Savannah

The Thermofluids Analysis team provides engineering support for thermal issues across all Gulfstream programs. In this position, you will work in a team of experienced engineers to solve complex thermal problems on all Gulfstream programs. You will collaborate with senior engineers to build models and simulations for thermal and fluid systems throughout the airplane. You will support flight and lab testing organizations and analyze test data. You will support aircraft certification activity.
We are seeking a CFD specialist with experience building and solving complex thermal problems using advanced modeling techniques.
Thermofluid analysis group activities and responsibilities include:
- Ventilation and cooling certification
- Ice protection systems analysis and certification
- ECS / pneumatic system modeling and analysis
- Airplane exhaust plumes analysis / test support
- Fire testing support
- Special missions support / analysis, including equipment rack design / layout, liquid cooling systems analysis, etc...
Experience using CFD modeling and simulation tools required
Experience with modeling thermal and fluid systems using 1D or 3D techniques required
Proficiency with STAR-CCM+ preferred
Open to Spring 2023 graduates with prior industry experience

- Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product .
- Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred.
- The level of technical skill and abilities appropriate for this grade will be established by each discipline.
