GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program.
STANDARD DUTIES:
- Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
- Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Cage/Vault Department.
- Must participate in employee random drug testing program.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
- Must attend all meetings, as assigned.
- Must adhere to departmental approved dress code.
- Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
- Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos, and other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
- All other assigned duties.
DUTIES:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Title 31 Compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable Federal and State gaming regulations. Responsible for understanding and complying with Title 31 and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and requirements.
- Oversee the daily Title 31 compliance operations to include, but not limited to reporting requirements and leading the Title 31 program.
- Monitor and review all Title 31 operational areas and assist in the drafting of sound, effective and operationally efficient internal control procedures that comply with all applicable laws.
- Must be able to read and understand all departmental operations manuals as they pertain to Title 31 and make recommendations to the CFO for policy and procedure changes throughout the casino to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Investigate reported suspicious activity related to Title 31.
- Analyze suspicious activity reports and present to the Title 31 compliance committee.
- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate submission of Title 31 required document filings, CTR and SAR to FinCEN. Ensure all team members are following all Title 31 programs, monitor team member Title 31 training and assist departments in meeting training requirements for successful and timely completion.
- Draft written response for internal and external Title 31 audits.
- Address potential non-compliance issues promptly and appropriately.
- Maintain all regulated paperwork and postings.
- Provide any other Title 31 support to casino departments and functions as needed.
- Promote positive guest relations (internal and external) through prompt, courteous and efficient service.
- Will be held to the highest standards of confidentiality. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Finance Department.
- Must adhere to the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy during employment.
- Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws, and other communicated expectations, including but not limited to: Employment Manual, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Tribal Internal Controls, Departmental Procedures, memos, or other communication from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
