The Oleta River Outdoor Center, part of the BG Signature Parks family is looking for self-driven, energetic Tour Guide to join our phenomenal team. We are located inside Oleta River State Park in North Miami Beach.

At Oleta River Outdoor Center we depend on our team members to help guests find their ultimate experience—all while working to protect and preserve the park for future generations. When you join our Team, you will be a proud steward of the park. You will play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to all our guests. Whether you are new to the workforce, looking to build your resume, or a post-career adventure seeker.

Our ideal candidate is personable, ambitious and reliable. Takes initiative at the tasks at hand, and has great customer service skills. MUST be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Experience in paddle sports is a plus, but not needed.

Responsibilities

*Greet all guests promptly at scheduled tour times *Set up any equipment needed for your Tour. *Outline the tour and timeline before embarking *Go over safety ,measures and quick tips to any guests going with you. Determine if any guests have physical restrictions that should be considered. *Clearly and articulately provide information to guests in an engaging manner *Answer any questions that guest may have *Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our facility and related topics *Remain calm, friendly, and enthusiastic at all times *Escort guests through the tour, taking breaks as needed. Tours can take up to approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour long *Keep in constant communication with your supervisor *Be knowledgeable about the weather forecast and how this can affect your trip *Learn tour script. *Clean up after Tour. *Maintain a clean and tidy work area *Provide exceptional customer service

Qualifications

*Must be able to stay out in the sun for long periods of time. *Must be a strong swimmer *CPR/ First Aid Certification is a plus. *Must be able to push/carry over 50 lbs. *Experience with customer service and customer safety. *Bilingual is a plus *Must have reliable transportation *Must be able to work in the United States with proof of documentation
