We're seeking a Training Assistant to join our Caregiver Training Program!

About the Program: Join our 5-star rated Caregiver Training Division at Sunrise Services! Our Caregiver training program offers a wide variety of both in-person and online classes to prepare future caregivers for renewing and achieving certification. The program offers every class needed to achieve and renew HCA-C. advance to a NAC, complete CPR, and so much more!

General Responsibilities: Work with the Training Coordinator, Director, Instructors, Sunrise personnel, and outside agencies to coordinate the caregiver training program.

Essential Functions: (Tasks, Responsibilities, and Competencies. May not include all duties of this job)

  • Assist the Training Coordinator & Director in any & all aspects of the Training Programs needed. Most tasks will be delegated. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Providing consistent & excellent customer service
  • Helping enroll students in classes including handling payments
  • Answering the phone lines
  • Responding to emails
  • Making copies of training materials
  • Data entry
  • Completing employee training timecards
  • Archiving / scanning class documents
  • Completing & managing supply inventory proactively
  • Updating forms upon request
  • Aiding in the creation or editing of online courses
  • Providing technical assistance for online training issues (such as resetting passwords, resolving log-in issues, and correcting student errors).
  • Sending invoices to billable agencies
  • Coordinating petty cash to accounting weekly
  • Facilitating online classes held in the office
  • Filling in as back-up Instructor for courses eligible to teach when needed
  • Teaching courses as assigned (such as CPR skills)
  • Documenting any student problems or exceptions in the enrollment system
  • Creation of marketing materials and delivery
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Training Director or Training Coordinator

Essential Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

Education: High School diploma or GED

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • DSHS background clearance required.
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software & ability to learn new programs
  • Willingness to be adaptable with a positive attitude to help where needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Acceptance of people from various economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Professional affect and appearance.
  • Ability to work well in both team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to become DSHS approved Community Instructor
  • Ability to work out of any Training location assigned & be flexible in shift required
  • Experience in long-term care settings
  • Active HCA-C or NAC credential

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Experience handling customer payments
  • Experience with marketing
  • Prior help desk or LMS experience

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
